White Mountains, Pinaleño Mountains, Santa Catalinas, and the Rincons.

Elevation:

High elevations

4,000 - 9,000 feet

Habitat:

Rocky terrain, woods, forests, areas with permanent water

 

Reproduction:

Oviparous

Mates and gives birth in Summer

 

Behavior:

BITES WHEN HANDLED OR HARRASSED!

Primarily Diurnal.

Hibernates in Winter alone or in dens with others
